Anselme Baud

A champion of France’s UFOLEP slalom and passionate about mountaineering, Anselme Baud is recognized as one of the pioneers of extreme skiing in the Alps and around the world. He has participated in over 60 expeditions and, in 1984, completed the solo ascent of Yalung Kang without oxygen or porters. Throughout his career, he climbed the Seven Summits with Bernard’s team. He achieved numerous first ski descents in the Alps and on various mountains worldwide, capturing his
exploits in several films. Baud is also the author of books and guidebooks on ski descents and was a professor at the National School of Ski and Alpinism (ENSA) in Chamonix for 34 years. His contributions have been widely recognized, including being awarded the Légion d’Honneur.
