Born in 1987 in Chamonix, Fanny Schmutz grew up climbing with her father. Starting with the Alps, she quickly felt the need to explore other mountain ranges. Her expeditions have taken her to Peru (Cordillera Blanca), Nepal (Khumbu), India (Garhwal), and Argentina (Patagonia). She has completed many legendary routes, such as the Grandes Jorasses via the north face, the Eiger, the Tête de Gramusat, and several ice cascades (Real Big Drip, Kandersteg, Maurienne…). Fanny Schmutz is part of the « Compagnie des guides de Chamonix ».
