Thomas de Dorlodot

An adventurer at heart, Thomas de Dorlodot set a record in 2011 for the longest paragliding flight in Asia and the Himalayas, covering 226 km in 10 hours. In 2022, he achieved a pioneering free flight around the Karakoram mountains, including Muztagh Tower, K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum, over a distance of about 120 km. As a sailor, he has crossed the Atlantic three times, once solo. He has also participated in every edition of the Red Bull X-Alps. Among his other notable achievements and exploratory flights are: the first paragliding flight from Machu Picchu, the first paramotor flight over the Tikal ruins in Guatemala, the first traverse of New Zealand’s Southern Alps in hike-and-fly mode, and the first solo traverse of the Pyrenees from Hondarribia to Cap de Creus. De Dorlodot also runs a multi-award-winning production company specializing in sports and adventure documentaries.
